Week of December 7th

Concert week!  Looking forward to bringing out the nuances in every piece to ensure a superior concert performance.

Saturday, December 12th:  Please be in the choir room in uniform at 6:00 p.m. sharp.

Chamber Choir:  Your pieces (and you!) have such tremendous potential.  I would really like to get Lux Aurumque to performance level instead of cut it from the program.  If you can encourage each other to have your parts fully confident (with music) on Monday, we’ll take another look at it.  We have spent a great deal of time working parts for Hark I Hear the Harps Eternal, so next week we will finally address expression through dynamics and phrasing.  Sure on this Shining Night needs more confidence in the men’s only sections – specifically focus on a strong entrance into those sections.  Hope for Resolution, Mr. Grinch, Christmas Time is Here and Rudolph/Frosty need to be memorized.

Concert Choir:  Be sure you are confident in all the transitions for Turn the World Around, that piece is going to be awesome!  We will have the opportunity to work with Ms. Cathy on Monday.  Fully memorized on all your music….you can do it!

Aca Flockas:  Santa Baby parts and accompaniment have been posted on your page.

Both Choirs:  WCHS Choirs will provide a “gift card box” for the Booster Christmas Auction fundraiser.  For those choir members who are able to contribute a $5 gift card, please bring one in sometime this week.  The gift card can be from any store, fast food, etc.  You may donate a fast food  coupon as well.  Give your donation to Sophia or Makayla and they will enter it on the gift card/coupon list.  I found a beautiful Christmas box to display the gift cards.  You are not required to contribute a gift card….this is just our way of supporting the Boosters!
